a library like website?

Question by Amberesque: a library like website?
as a christmas gift for my mom i want to log all of the books we own (theres A LOT of books) on a website. i want it to be free (if possible) i want her to be able to choose how she can find a book she owns so like she can choose to categorize alphabetically or by subject etc… and i want a search engine to search any keyword in that book/page title or description so she can easily manage around the site. when a title of a book has been found i want the title to also be a link to another page specifically designed for that book so like the header of the page will be the books title and it will have a place to post “blogs” or something so she can write a summary for the book and other papers written on the book by other people can be posted as well as the genre, author, subject, and date of the book will be logged. the thing is ive found several free sites to make a website but i cant find a way to type something then make it a link to that page i just described. help?

Have you tried LibraryThing? They have a free personal membership that allows you to try it out. If you have more than 200 books you can sign up for $ 10 a year or $ 25 for life.

Do you think I’m wrong for trying to relate to my readership?

Question by Smith: Do you think I’m wrong for trying to relate to my readership?
A boyfriend recently came across blogs & “answers” on my yahoo stuff he didn’t like. Basically I was referencing an amalgamation of my own experiences, others, & a little fiction spin in order to relate to my advice readership. This particular one referenced a guy I USED to date, but my current bo accused me of this “answer” referencing another person he suspects I’ve cheated on him with. That’s the tone I got anyway when he asked. Oh, ps when we first started dating we spent both our work & personal time together. I almost always stayed the night or went home to a house of family members, or would go out with friends whom he knows. Gee I wonder when I’d have any f*ing time to cheat. Now I’m a little sour over the accusations even though that’s not what he said it was about. My a**. He’s going on a hunt to find anything to ruin this relationship I think. Plucking my creative straws out of jealousy or control & I don’t appreciate it one f*ing bit.

I don’t think your issue has anything to do with “trying to relate to my readership”. I think you have a problem with your relationship with this guy. You sound angry and not at all loving toward him. I wonder why you are even with him at all? Trust is an important foundation for a successful relationship. Do you and he have any?
